The war spread further on Monday, with Israel exchanging fire with Hezbollah militants in Lebanon, US jets being downed in Kuwait and Qatar taking out Iranian fighter planes.
Lebanon is being dragged back into conflict as Hezbollah resumed attacks on Israel following the Iran strikes. Simona Foltyn reports from the outskirts of the capital city of Beirut.
President Trump also declined to rule out sending ground troops into Iran as the conflict spread into the Gulf countries and Lebanon and Israel exchanged strikes.
The militant group's attacks, apparently at the behest of Iran, led to retaliation from Israel and were "practically a suicide mission" for Hezbollah, an analyst said.
Israel blames the militant group for "reopening" the conflict on their northern border. But airstrikes have been undermining the fragile ceasefire for more than a year.
