The clashes in Pakistan come as the American strikes on Iran have escalated into a regional war, with Iran blockading the Strait of Hormuz and launching strikes on American facilities in neighboring nations.
American and Israeli forces launched a preemptive strike on Iran in the early hours of Saturday, killing Ayatollah Ali Khomeini and much of the senior military leadership.
Despite the interception of the majority of projectiles, however, the UAE was unable to prevent several drones from hitting civilian targets in the country.
Though the U.S. has not officially stated that Tehran was planning its own attacks, numerous outlets have reported statements from anonymous administration officials that Iran was doing so.
"The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will withhold additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified," it continued.
Iranian strikes have targeted installations across the Middle East in response to the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on their country that killed Ayatollah Ali Khomeini.
