After 20 long years of waiting, the revived brand will open a new restaurant in St. Louis Park by the end of the year.

Taco John's has moved its corporate headquarters from Cheyenne, Wyo., to St. Louis Park, leaving the city where the fast-food chain was founded as a taco stand more than 55 years ago.

For this St. Louis Park resident, volunteering is personal.
