A retiring Democratic senator is "furious" at his own party and suggested that its brand isn't helpful almost anywhere in the country for candidates seeking national office.

Assuming the floor vote tracks a similarly friendly path, the bill would head to the House of Representatives, which has its stablecoin bill in the works.
