Screening tools and hygiene measures deployed during the Covid-19 pandemic are making a comeback, with Uganda temporarily suspending large cultural events as a precaution.
Researchers are now racing to contain the disease in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where at least 204 people have died and an estimated 870 have been infected.
The volunteers are thought to have contracted the virus during a humanitarian mission in DR Congo in March and are believed to be "among the first known victims of the outbreak."
