Donald Trump's limited response to Iran's intransigence suggests he believes Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is moving toward a deal.

President Donald Trump said Sunday afternoon that Iran's latest peace proposal was unacceptable as negotiations to end the war remain stalled.

The state media outlet did not specify what Iran's response to the peace proposal was, but said it was based on ending the war.

"If you have an agreement and you go in and you take it out, why not? That's the best way," the Israeli prime minister said.

An Iranian official publicly detailed supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei's injuries from the Feb. 28 attack that killed his father, Ali Khamenei.

The comments came a day after the president suggested the world would see "one big glow" coming from Iran if it did not agree to a deal.

"If [a ceasefire deal] doesn't get signed, they're going to have a lot of pain," Trump said of Iran as a ceasefire remains in place.

The move comes after the DOJ indicted 10 Mexican officials, widening the diplomatic rift between the two nations.
