According to multiple reports, the Utah Jazz will be active come trade deadline and will be looking to send multiple players.

Marc Stein is reporting in his substack that the leaguewide presumption is that the prime candidates for Utah to move are Jordan Clarkson, Collin Sexton, and John Collins.

The leaguewide presumption about the Jazz nonetheless persists that Collins — like fellow veterans Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton — is a prime candidate to be dealt between now and the Feb. 6 trade deadline by Jazz CEO Danny Ainge. Collins, though, learned how to cope with such chatter and uncertainty through numerous transactional cycles after landing his Atlanta deal and, to his credit, has been a source of consistency (and efficiency) for a team that is known to be prioritizing draft position above all this season as Utah plots its course to build out a sustainable core around star forward Lauri Markkanen.

These are not surprising names to see considering these were the names mentioned last year as trade candidates. Stein is right about Collins, he’s been having a fantastic year for the Jazz. Collins comes with a pretty huge $26M dollar per year pricetag, but his production may have proven worth it so far this year.

Michael Scotto also confirmed those rumors, but also added a name to watch: Walker Kessler.

From Scotto:

Due to collective bargaining agreement rules, star forward Lauri Markkanen can’t be traded until the offseason, at the earliest, after signing his contract extension. With that in mind, all eyes are on Walker Kessler, Jordan Clarkson, John Collins, and Collin Sexton.

Teams gauging Kessler’s availability in Utah have come away with the sense that it’ll take at least two first-round picks to pry him from the Jazz, a high asking price in their eyes.

The two first-round pick rumor is something we’ve seen multiple times now. Kessler is having a great bounce back season and is looking like the player that earned third place in Rookie of the Year voting.

Scotto also talked about the emergence of Keyonte George being a reason that teams are watching Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson. We don’t get any intel from this on the cost for Sexton but Sexton has also been playing very well for Utah. As always, you can bet that Danny Ainge will try to milk that trade for every pick he can for anyone calling about Sexton.
