Week 15 Open Thread: Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans (The Gauntlet, Part 1)

Three games in 10 days. Shouldn’t be a problem right? Right?

Good afternoon all you guys, gals and non-binary pals and welcome to week 15 of the NFL season.

As many of you know the Houston Texans are set to play three games in the span of 10 days; because, I dunno, the computer that the NFL decided to assign the task of building the schedule had a computer aneurysm or something (is that a thing?).

So as a result, the Texans will be going up against some of the best teams the AFC has to offer...and the Miami Dolphins.

Welcome to The Gauntlet; a trial by ordeal where the team we all know and love will be put through the wringer during the holidays for our...amusement probably isn’t the right word; for our viewing ability?

On the bright side, at least the game against the Kansas City Chiefs will be on Netflix so there’s a better than even chance that we won’t even get to watch that game. But that’s for next “week.”

Here’s what you need to know for this week.

Please remember our Game Day thread guidelines.

  • Don’t troll in your comments; create conversation rather than destroying it
  • Remember Battle Red Blog is basically a non-profanity site
  • Out of respect to broadcast partners who have paid to carry the game, no mentions of “alternative” (read: illegal) viewing methods are allowed in our threads
  • The commenting system was updated during the offseason. They’re still working on optimizing it for Game Day Threads like ours. If you don’t like clicking “Load More Comments”, remember that the “Z” key can be your friend. It loads up the latest comments automatically.

May the way of DeMeco lead us to the Super Bowl.

Go Texans!
